DONNA Marathon Weekend

Five years. It’s been five years since I finished my main treatment for triple negative breast cancer. Finishing the standard treatment for breast cancer, however, does not finish the fight. The fight will not be over until there is a cure. I still have another three rounds of the clinical trial for a triple negative breast cancer vaccine at The Mayo. With faith, hope, and very strong science, a cure will be found.

I’m impatient, though. I can’t just wait for a cure.  Too many of us are diagnosed each day. Each freaking day - including my beautiful warrior cousin. One way I move forward is in actual steps, running to raise funds for The DONNA Foundation. The DONNA Foundation provides hope, support and financial relief to those living with breast cancer. It also provides financial support for the clinical trial I am in.  

The time will come when I’m unable to walk a half marathon.  Until then, I’m going to use my steps towards helping to find a cure. Can you join me with a donation to The DONNA?
